Motion Graphics edits

This section is more story-focused. When I edit something based on a show or character, I try to understand the theme first and then choose scenes that actually fit that idea. I’m not just picking clips that look good visually
I’m thinking about how they connect.

Music is a big part of how I edit. I spend time finding audio that matches the tone so the pacing and expressions make sense together. If it doesn’t feel right, I change it.

I usually sort out the timing and structure before adding effects. Once the base works, I start building on top of it with stylisation and details.

Everything here is built with that kind of approach.

Groovie Recruit Video

Groovie is a free motion design studio I started to teach motion design to other editors.
This motion design was made to show the world Groovie. The colors and branding were picked to match the motion design, and the overall message was carefully crafted to show what the studio does.
Focus: Story alignment, Professional style, Branding and Animations.

FX Music video style edits

This editing style involves intentionally adding glitches to premade footages. It's highly promotional for artists and shows, especially festival edits like Lollapalooza and Coachella. This style has gained immense popularity in recent times.
I took this style a step further by integrating it with other techniques I employ.
I used this style in my Olivia Rodrigo Undercover video.

Sports GFX Motion Graphics

Sports GFX Style
This style mixes motion graphics with fan editing. I used it in my Heated Rivalry undercover edits where I tried different graphic layouts while posting edits daily for a week on a brand new account for a Youtube video. The edits use rotoscoped subjects, bold text, shapes, wipes, and color-based backgrounds to turn simple clips into more graphic, design-focused scenes. [Here is a tutorial I made for the style]

These edits performed remarkably well, amassing over a million views within a week, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of likes and comments from people guessing who is behind this new account (since this can't be a brand-new editor, haha).
FOCUS: rotoscoping, typography, graphic layouts, color palettes, motion graphics integration.

Edits for Netflix's Show 'Heartstopper'

Heartstopper, a multi-time Emmy-winning show on Netflix, is the subject of these edits. Primarily, they focus on the storyline of the two protagonists, portrayed by Joe Locke and Kit Connor. One of the main focuses of these edits is aligning the plots with the show's pastel book aesthetics. This involves creating various overlays, 2D animations, and combining them with 3D animations.
Focus - Story building, 2d Animations, 3d Animations, aesthetics, Drama and visual alignment

Electronic Style

One of my Fav hobbies is to experiment different editing styles and combine them with music, this particular edit for example- explores an electropop-inspired style using the song Green Light by Lorde. The concept was built around matching the energy and progression of the song with the visuals. I referenced the green laser lighting used during Lorde’s live performances and translated that into electronic-style visuals using neon colors, light beams, and glitch-based elements.

The editing style focuses on syncing the motion, lighting, and transitions with the structure of the song while keeping a consistent green theme to reflect the “green light” concept. The idea was also connected to the characters’ storyline wanting something they can’t fully reach similar to the symbolism of the green light in The Great Gatsby.
FOCUS: music synchronization, color-driven themes, lighting effects, electronic visual style, storytelling through editing.

Candy style edits/ fan edits Motion graphics

This edit is one of the last before I discover my own editing style. This colorful and fun editing style is known as The Candy style, and some professionals prefer to call it the FX style. This style has allowed me to learn so much that I wouldn't be able to with any other editing style. Editing this way is incredibly fun, and it's not as focused on storytelling as other styles, but rather on the scenes and how to transition smoothly from one to another.
Focus - Motion Graphics, 3D animations, pastels, and colors.

Mixed aesthetic video edits.

The edits below are based on different aesthetics of the songs and characters. For instance, the first edit is of Nancy Wheeler, a character from Stranger Things. I created this edit alongside my other edits for my Stranger Things Undercover Video. In this video, I went undercover as a Secret Stranger Things account for seven days, just like my other secret accounts. This one also gained significant traction, collecting over 300-500k+ views in just seven days and receiving thousands of likes.

To match the aesthetic of Season 1 Nancy Wheeler from Stranger Things, I created the second edit of Max. I aimed to capture the retro 2016 style, including skateboards and her entire aesthetic and outfit. The colors and the song choice, "American Teenager" by Ethel Cain, also contributed to the nostalgic feel of the edit.
Similar to the other edits, these seem to perform well on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. One of my heated rival secret account edits below garnered over 800k+ views on TikTok on a brand new account after the undercover video. This is quite remarkable considering that the account didn't exist just a week before that.
The key to these edits lies in the careful selection of character aesthetics, sound and visual decisions, and the addition of details that align with the theme.
